From Data to Deployment – Full Stack Data Science

Indeed serves over 200 million job seekers a month. We have petabytes of data about jobs, resumes, clicks, impressions, applies, and hires — data that tells us everything about how these job seekers are discovering and finding new jobs. This data flows into sophisticated data science solutions that power Indeed’s most important products.
In this talk, we walked through an actual Indeed data science full-stack model building process: labeling data, performing analysis, generating features, building the model, validating the model, building infrastructure, deploying the model, and monitoring the solution. We discussed how these techniques are applicable across a broad set of domains.

Benjamin Link has been a Data Scientist at Indeed for over 3.5 years. He works as a tech lead and data science manager with the Applicant Quality and Data Science Platform teams in San Francisco. Ben went to the University of Colorado at Boulder and studied machine learning with Michael Mozer.
