Improving the Development Process with Metrics-Driven Insights
This talk was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 12:00pm
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.” If you take a data-driven approach to building software products, these are probably words you live by. You measure results, day in and day out. But do you also measure how you are building your software?
Jack Humphrey’s presentation at the 2018 Austin CTO Summit shows how you can use metrics-driven insights to improve the dev process in any team or organization, no matter the size.
Turning development process metrics into targets can be counter-productive, but we’ve found that good measurements provide useful context for improvement. At Indeed, we frame metrics as a starting point for discussion, not stats to be gamed. This presentation explains how we use those discussions to drive positive change.
Jack will give another talk at the 2019 Austin CTO Summit on April 9.
